I am a student of ancient martial arts but am interested in learning more about and practicing some of the more modern martial arts, such as budokan. Does anyone practice budokan karate, or does anyone have a preferred form of karate that is a more modern style or interpretation? I am interested in seeing the influence of ancient karate form on modern.

I've mainly practiced shotokan karate, but I have also done some practice and research of kyokushin kaikan karate.

If you are looking for a modern style of Karate look no further than Jissen Kai. A hybrid style created by Grand Master Michael Quijano. Jissen Kai encopases many disciplines (Karate, Aiki-Jiujitsu, Muay Thai, Sambo, BJJ, Mubai Silat, Ving Tsun, Escrima, Western Boxing, Afro-Caribbean Martial Arts, Savate, Judo) and is the culmimation of a lifetime of training.
