Anyone here practice Taekwondo? Is it good for kids to practice?
I use to take a taebo class and loved it.
Yes, I still take it and have taken it for awhile now. It is much more better then karate and produces nation champions, in which karate can't. The only school i'd recommend is "USTA" it is an amazing school that is clean, is fun and just is great for the kids and gives you great self defense. Call:

For more information and say you were recommend by: Ryan Shaw.
Karate does produce National Champions! Go to www.usankf.org. I have 4 time consecutive National Champions from ages 5 to 57 in this assocation. Also Tae Kwon Do is more money oriented, most of the time, especially if it's Americanized! USTA is United States Tae Kwon Do Assocation. Obviously, Ryan Shaw has an inside with this particular school. Tae Kwon Do is mainly about the money and not about the people. Traditional Karate is where it's at and anyone that promotes Tae Kwon Do doesn't want you do know this!
how is TKD better then Karate. When you find out let me now.LOL
SCJ.

i'm from indonesia..
what is karate better than to taekwondo?
i hope any reaply
They are both good, But you have to try each to get an un-bias opinion.
Petty squabling gets nobody anyhwere, this would make a bad student.
Having studied both Shotokan Karate & Taekwondo, I would say both styles are have advantages, much does depend on the teacher though, and the dojo you train in.
Despite what others may say Taekwondo is a very simular style to Karate anyhow, especially ITF style, Taekwondo just go in for more spinning kicks & board breaking than most Karate styles. Where stances & hand techniques tend to be more focused in Karate. But the techniques are for most part the same.
Look & compare Aikido with Taekwondo/Karate or Judo/Wing chun if you want to see real differences.
