Shota has been practicing karate his whole life. He chose to take up the sport as a way to boost his confidence, make friends, and feel a sense of belonging. Shota has said choosing karate is one of the best decisions he's ever made with the sport giving back so much to Shota's life. Shota has made a name for himself all over Japan and has been seen on TV shows and other forms of Japanese media. Also, he is an outspoken leader and advocates the raising of social anxiety awareness. He is currently based in Japan training for his time in the Karate Combat pit.
