Ana was a veryactive and inpatient and active child. In 2008 her godparents, who were mutual friends with her soon to be Sensei, knew Sensei Mano Santana. They took Ana to do a karate class with him and her life was instantly changed. Since then Ana has not stopped practicing karate. Ana was an athlete of the Brazilian team from 2012 to 2018 and won important titles for her country on a domestic level all the way through the international Olympic Circuit and is heralded as one of the most talented Brazilian karate athletes. Ana is good friends and training partners with Luiz Rocha, another of the Karate Combat athletes; and many who know them both point out their similarities in life, training and competing.
