Be sure to cast your votes each week!

Runners Up

Our three finalists for Female Fighter of the Season each had one fight to prove all their worthiness to the fans. And ALL THREE finished their opponents.

Therefore, it would take a super-exceptional outing to win, as every woman on this list performed superbly.

Here are the fighters who came closest to winning the prized honor!

First Runner-Up

At flyweight, Christina Kavakopoulou had the opportunity for a full-contact rematch of a semi-contact loss to Jessica Linhares De Paula.

In the pre-fight build up, Linhares commented that Kavakopoulou could not have changed her fighting style enough since then for this fight to meet a different result.

But full-contact fighting may as well exist in an entirely different universe from point-karate.

Christina spent 0% of her time moving backward. "Panthera" confidently marched toward her prey all fight long, forcing her opponent against the Pit-wall again and again... and yet again!

In the second round, Christina delivered endless punishment. Then, in the third, it was much more of the same.

Ultimately, Christina bullied her opponent into resigning before the final bell, failing to answer the referee's commands. She earned a dominant TKO victory.

Second Runner-Up

After a decision loss and a broken nose forced a doctor's stoppage, Fabiola Esquivel's 0-2 record was not reflecting her true potential.

Fighting a two-time Pan American Games gold-medalist, Fabiola had to prove her full-contact career would not end without victory.

Her opponent lived up to her hype and accomplishments, moving quickly, aggressively, and mounting a punch heavy assault that would have deterred many karateka.

Not Fabiola.

She fought as the pressure fighter throughout the battle, taking some damage to give more back.

In the end, she earned what is perhaps that most coveted highlight reel finish: an out-right KO victory by round-house kick to the head.

Shin to the chin, and to the winner's circle, she's in!

Fan's Choice!

Omaira Molina started Season 3 undefeated, and finished Season 3 undefeated.

And the journey to that third victory in Karate Combat was an absolutely thrilling affair!

Fighting a game Erica Santos, the two found themselves crashing together like angry rams.

Her grit might have been enough to impress the fans, but more was needed to win the battle and this Fighter of the Season honor.

Omaira Molina Finishes Erica Santos

It was a combination of intellect, precision, and power that would earn it all.

Molina capitalized on Santos's willingness to come crashing forward, and began timing straight right punches to thwart her entry.

She delivered a perfect straight right hand during one such 'coming together.' Santos went down and Molina's killer instinct made pursuit to finish the fight by TKO.

Congratulations OMAIRA MOLINA!
