Karate Combat veteran and one-time KC Middleweight title challenger Franklin Mina is prepared to welcome Raymond Daniels into The Pit. Daniels debuts vs Mina in the Middleweight division, in the Co-Main Event of KC35, Saturday, August 27th. Stream it free on Karate.com or buy a ticket to see it in person, live on the backlot of Universal Studios Florida.

Below, read KC Superfan Mac Tyson's account of this historic match-up:

Raymond Daniels' striking is unbelievable.

His fights look like choreographed fight scenes, but don’t get it twisted. He is the “Real Deal”.

Daniels would start his career by winning an unparalleled number of World Championships and major tournaments in sport karate. He would then get his first taste of full contact competition as the MVP in Chuck Norris’s World Combat League. There, he competed against the likes of our very own League Sensei Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson.

He went on to challenge for the Glory Kickboxing title twice, and win the Bellator Kickboxing Championship, which he vacated ahead of KC35. (The latter feat being something that 6x World Kickboxing Champion, and fellow Karate Combat fighter, Gabriel Varga also achieved.)

All of Daniels' victories along the way to his championship were conducted in fantastic fashion, whether it was by flying sidekicks, cartwheel kicks (out of an actual cartwheel), a 720 KO Punch, or his signature spinning wheel kick.

So there's one thing that we know for certain: Raymond Daniels is a once in a lifetime fighter. You have to see him to believe him.

Mina blitzes at Shahin Atamov

Franklin Mina might prove to be Raymond Daniels toughest fight.

Despite Raymond Daniels' extremely impressive resume, Franklin Mina just might prove to be Raymond Daniels toughest fight to date. Franklin Mina is a former Middleweight Title contender in Karate Combat and even competed at Heavyweight before that. Daniels, on the other hand, spent most of his career at Welterweight.

Finally, Mina has a traditional Karate blitz style that Daniels has never faced before in full-contact competition. That could mean he hasn't seen this style in a long time, or ever (given the full-contact adaptation Mina has given it). So, don’t think Mina is just going to let the hype train roll over him.

You don’t want to miss this amazing matchup live on August 27th!
