Omar Morales

Omar's beginnings in karate were at his father’s academy. He is the creator of a style of martial arts in Venezuela called “SLAM” (Sistema libre de artes marciales). Omar's brother, father, mother and uncles are all karate black belts as well. His father was a multiple-time Karate champion in Venezuela and the United States. Wanting to follow in his father's footsteps Omar would become a multiple times Karate champion in Venezuela. He also became a Grand Champion at the US Open ISKA World Martial Art Championship in Orlando, Florida. Omar later made his transition to Kickboxing where he won 3 belts in Venezuela. His thirst for belts, did not end there. In 2011 Omar became a professional MMA fighter, managing to fight in Bellator, Contenders Series, and UFC. Omar says he has always liked the Karate Combat events, because it reminds him of his beginnings in martial arts. Omar knows his father is going to love seeing him fight in this show because he is a big fan of this event. "I am very excited about my debut in Vegas on December 15th."
